Partitions Rule Book

1.Gypsum partition

For a 100mm gypsum partition, we recommend using 50mm x 50mm aluminum or GI sections. Filling the gaps with rockwool or glasswool will enhance sound insulation and fire resistance. After that, attach 12.5mm gypsum boards on both sides for stability and a smooth finish.

When applying wallpaper, ensure proper jointing and taping of the gypsum boards for the best results. We advise against using MDF, HDHMR, plywood, or similar materials, as their joints may loosen over time, leading to an uneven finish and potential issues with wallpaper adhesion. A well-prepared gypsum surface with oil based primer will provide the optimal foundation for your wallpaper.
